Wind Project –
Access & Infrastructure
This page outlines the access routes and supporting infrastructure for the Tulcea Wind Project. Effective access and infrastructure planning is critical to the delivery, installation, and long-term operation of utility-scale wind turbines.
Regional Access
The project benefits from proximity to established regional transport infrastructure. Primary access to the site is provided via the European road E87 (DN22), which is located approximately 2.5 km from the project area.
Site Access & Internal Roads
Existing agricultural roads provide the basis for site access and will be upgraded as required to accommodate turbine component transport, construction equipment, and maintenance vehicles. Internal access roads will connect turbine locations, crane pads, and service areas.
Construction & Operational Infrastructure
Infrastructure planning includes provision for crane hardstands, turbine foundations, temporary construction compounds, and permanent service areas. These elements are designed to support both the construction phase and long-term operation and maintenance activities.
Detailed engineering design, traffic management plans, and road upgrade specifications are addressed within the project’s construction documentation.
