Option 1 – Grid-Focused Power Generation
Under this option, the project operates primarily as a grid-connected photovoltaic power plant. Electricity generated by the solar installation is exported to the national transmission network, with battery storage supporting grid balancing and price optimisation.
Option 2 – Integrated Solar and Storage Model
This option emphasises the combined operation of solar generation and battery energy storage. Energy storage enables time-shifting of generation, participation in ancillary services, and enhanced revenue stability.
Option 3 – Direct Supply to Data Centres
The third development option involves direct energy supply to data centres or other large energy consumers. This model supports long-term power agreements, improved price certainty, and alignment with corporate sustainability objectives.
Strategic Flexibility
The ability to switch between or combine development options enhances project resilience. This flexibility allows the asset to adapt over time as energy markets, regulation, and demand profiles evolve.
